  1. Thanks, ya, everything on the drivers side tail light was flipped but I have found another housing and lense but the proper bezel is pretty rusty so I’m just looking for something nicer. Adjusted my valves the other night and am waiting on probably the best purchase I think I could make for this car before I continue. I’m waiting for the complete metric hardware set for the old Z cars from Z depot. Everything I touch on this car is old, rusted on, stripped, random, missing, snaps off, etc. After trying to find hardware at my local shops I’m extremely happy Z depot offers this. I’m plann
  2. New owner here and pretty green when it comes to working on cars in general. I’m pretty confident I can learn and for once in my life I’ve got the space and a bit more patience. Due to covid I can’t get into the dmv until January so in the mean time I’m just poking around this car finding things and waiting for a few things to finish (or even really start) a tune up/inspection utilizing YouTube and my chillton manual. Put in a new speedometer cable day before yesterday, put gaskets on tail lights yesterday and discovered I have 2 passenger side tail lights just one is flipped upside down on dr
  3. I know haha, I really wanted a straight body and functional 4 door and had a price spectrum, this was at the top of the spectrum but it was a difficult search. I was looking at a few more but they kept disappearing or I was running into pink slip issues on the patina/primer ones and terrible colors but good enough paint that I wouldn’t want to repaint. This one is a gem, and I can handle the color although I would love to tone it down. I could see wanting a beater down the line to mash around in and knowing me I’ll probably have a couple more hanging around in the next few years but really, th
  4. In my garage here’s a couple I took night of: here’s from original listing
  5. Thanks guys you’re really showing off my internet ignorance heh. I used the postimages link draker sent, they can keep the flick. Oddly enough I don’t have any good pictures yet as I was in a huge hurry to get home so I took this when I backed out of the garage to sweep. I’ll post a couple more but they are from the listing haha. I’ll get some nice photos once I take it out but I want to adjust the valves and raise it back up (it’s lowered and I live on a dirt road) before I take it out. Also I want to wait for better weather. I found 3 drill holes in the rear passenger side fender that lead d
  6. Ya, I’m not seeing anything like that, thanks tho. I’ve been trying for a couple hours now signed up to Flickr and google images and the urls are still not recognized, kinda over it, I’ll have to try later. Technology is not my friend
  7. Well, might take a second on the photos thing. I realize I need to find a host for my photos and link them in. Any suggestions for something not too intrusive, and works off a phone? (No internet out here)
  8. okay okay haha, I just saw these requests while looking up jack points and I can’t procrastinate anymore this sec looking up how to post photos but I’ll be back when I get out from under there
  9. Thanks guys! Just as a follow up in case anyone cares I just got home. 6.5 hours of teeth clenching sprinkled with moments of glee. He (I normally name my cars female names but my wife named it before I got a chance so it’s a he) made it like a champ! Torrential downpour for about 2 hours and light rain the rest, surrounded by semi trucks shwoo! Fuses were fine but I had to hurry and get on the road to keep the daylight so that’s as far as I got. I picked up some defogger and had a cloth wrapped around my frozen hand that I’d wipe the window with every couple minutes. Now he’s in the garage af
  10. Thanks, ya, I’m going to look at those in the morning. I think I figured out an expensive but better for my Datsun than driving it solution. I’m thinking I can rent a uhaul pickup/car carrier and haul it up. Fingers crossed I can find one
  11. Ok, so this is super newbie but I’m in a bind here. I’m so new I literally just bought my first 510 about 4 hours ago. The problem: I am 6 hours from home and I’m going to attempt the trip in the dime. It feels very solid and I have faith it can make it. I didn’t want to attempt the trip at night so I’m at a hotel. The problem is tomorrow it’s calling for rainstorms all up the coast where I’m headed for the rest of the week. The defrost in the car doesn’t seem to operate at all, no fan, no heat, nothing. I would love to have the car in my garage and figure this out but right now I need to get
