Ok thanks for searching for an assembly for me I’ll try emailing Ted to and see if he has anything available.

It’s the part that sticks out to the outside of the windshield that pivots and the windshield wiper connects to. That piece broke and the whole windshield wiper fell on to the hood of the truck. do you guys know where I could get a whole assembly, or a OEM assembly that might fit? have a 1970 521

The actual wiper blade arm fell off on the outside of the truck. It’s the teeth thing that fits into the wiper blade arm. I tried JB weld but it didn’t hold. when I tried to remove it I didn’t remove the dash. I’m thinking that I should have.

No but it really rusted. Looks like the windshield seal has been leaking onto these arms or the seals on the windshield wipers are pretty cracked. Tried taking the driver side assembly out, and see if I could repair the broken bolt that runs up through and connects to the windshield wiper. But now I think I shorted something in the switch or put it back in wrong, because now when I turn on the wiper switch it blows the fuse. reasons for doing this: diver side wiper fell off. Took the end of the bolt with it when it snapped off. Now trying to fix it.

Thanks for the video and picture. That was extremely helpful. Do know where I could get the metal arms that come off the motor, or a set that would fit the Datsun? Arms that hold the wipers that then connect to themselves then attach to the motor.

Does anyone know where I could find a windshield wiper linkage assembly for a 521? Or point me in the right direction.

Hi everyone I have a 1970 datsun 521 and I’m looking to see if I can find a replacement pivot or whole assembly. My driver side pivot head broke off and now the whole wiper is no longer attached. Any ideas of what I could do to repair or replace it with?

Update of what was causing the the engine to choke going up hills. took the truck to a shop and after 2 weeks they finally found that something in the carb was causing the fuel blockage. They took the carb apart, clean it, blew out the lines and then put it back together again. They didn’t actually find anything blocking the fuel, but after that it runs great and goes up hills too. All fuel lines from the tank to the fuel filter, pump, carb, and engine were replaced as well. I’m just glad to have my truck back.

I meant burning to much oil sorry. what does a timing light do? And is there a video or article on how to time it? sorry for all the questions still a noob at this kind of repairs. I’ll check to see if the carb is open when warmed up as well when I get off work.

I have a Weber 32 36. I don’t see a glass float in the front by the gas line. Could be a timing issue. No I don’t have a timing light. Also I think it might have something to do with the carb biting to much oil. https://imgur.com/a/GshA6rc

So I’ve changed the fuel filter, fuel pump, no success with the truck bucking when I push the accelerator to full throttle. ( maybe a little less than full). I did however smell the oil from the dip stick and it smelled like gas, so I’m changing that tomorrow. Would gas in the oil cause it the truck to behave this way? If it’s not that I’m going to take it in and have it inspected.

If I were to buy a replacement of the pc vent, where would I start looking. I’ve been searching with no luck.

What does a valve vent cover plug look like and where is it located? I was thinking of replacing the breather at some point. Less emissions in the engine bay the better. Is there a specific PCV setup I should you?

I also had a question about the Webber carb and filter. I see were the fuel line goes in and then it looks like something should be connected to the other port next to it.
