im in central/northern Alberta so it get pretty cold up here, and i personally havnt had problems starting cars up in the winter but ive always driven a fuel injected car. And from what i rember of stories about my fathers carbureted 520 one cold day he was only able to start up the car after heating up the engine with a tiger torch. And im trying to get my 620 to be daily derivable and id prefer to not resort to that sketchy of methods just to get across town.
And i was looking at using either 10w-30 or 10w-40 engine oil and freeze plug heater like this https://www.amazon.ca/Kats-11401-Watt-Frost-Heater/dp/B000I8TPG4/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1530847524&vehicle=1974-67-1043-20--31---6632------1-0&sr=1-3it looks very similar to the oem part i saw floating around online
But thanks a bunch i would have never even thought of a battery warmer
ive been trying to figure out what to use for a coolant/block heater for the l18 in my 620 and ive found things vaguely hinting at a oem heater do i need the oem one or do you guys know of a heater that fits.
Ya, i kind of figured this would be to daunting of a task. But i was hoping that maybe the 620 and 720 were highly compatible... but its makes sense it wouldn't be something easy
also if i planned on a 620 why would i buy a Comanche, it looks very different. And almost identical to a 720
Has anyone ever swapped a 4x4 720 drive train And engine into a 620. If anyone has how easy or hard was it. I'm looking to put a bit more of an oomf into a 620
