A little more work on shop truck (keeper), de-greased with pressure washer and gunk on lift also painted frame ,pulled front apron with a cut down 2x4 to fit behind grill with a hole in it , on an extra slide hammer ,and being a Datsun pulled pretty good ,I will paint front area and buff stock painted truck for that STOCK paint patina they would not allow at said show ,(just wrong)anyway will try and get in J STYLE show. Sometimes bad hoses cause brake drag also , I have seen people replace calipers before hoses and repeat prob. cause they expand before they flow .

You want a nicer job , please pay someone to paint it , at a shop ,somebody that paints often ,you want it nice the first time and good single stage paint should lay nice and no buffing required , trying to be inexpensive cost more ,maybe rent me a booth 150 here in Whittier ,or wait , got three to paint here and my booth is not finished due to funds and electrical stuff needed ,220 single phase motor for fan ect.

Ok you can prep the car better than a cheap paint place , so why not spend a little more on paint ! all I am saying is I can buy a kit of cheap single stage make a gallon total 110 bucks .(I prefer quality paint) Or buy a better quality single stage gallon for 160-200 depends on color ,when hardener added and thinned makes 1.75 gallons . takes less than one gallon to paint car and you have extra paint incase of small stuff that happens later. Macco and one day paint is lesser quality paint usually . Doing such a nice job ,prep it and mask up ,and pay a shop to paint it maybe 400-500 for a shop to spray it.250 for paint ect . May be find a local paint store and get quotes on paint !

Both corners needed re-shaping ,I am happy with very little rust and out come ,Left side which tail light is hinged and has gas cap inside was a little work ,we cut a groove in wood before we pushed out due to seam there , helped I think hold board and new used a few 4x4s to keep angle right with wimp jack when we pushed out ,we are lucky I have a 1956 to compare to and get angle perfect with paper template ,fit tail lights pretty close , Still have a little more welding ! , and Z shop dog looks like a photo chop- dog , had to put an oic of311 been fixing a bunch of small stuff but driving and feel lucky to have it ,makes me want to do an sr soon on 65 310.[url=http://s1183.photobucket.com/user/Alleycatgarage/media/100_2452.jpg.html]][url=http://s1183.photobucket.com/user/Alleycatgarage/media/100_2450.jpg.html]

There are some shorter shocks ,made for Dodge colt rear 71-77 and some other early Dodge imports , Been running them for awhile now , had a bunch of Mullholands but down to last set. Can post a pic maybe ?

I can put in some input here ,cheap clear is just that , good clear cost 200-300 per gallon ,and as much as I want to thin 10-20 percent to make spray out lay better , lately trying to barely thin 10 percent ,because it has UV protection built in that fights clear peel , but if you live in inland empire and gets really hot and you have no garage in may still screw up in a couple years , I had to repaint Zerows car due to clear peel on roof and hood . With single stage paint also can be too cheap or spend a little more for quality paint .CLEAR IS BETTER ! I have my own spray booth I need to spend a little moron to get up and running .Soon....

More shots of 1956 Nomad for Redeeye ,Note big drift had to drill hole in upper rocker to knock out lower , gets covered by sill plate ,also check out NISSAN jack and piece of wood used to reverse hit on lower taillight ,weld up lower seams ,getting around it ,rear almost done , also also my green keeper 521 shop truck was smashed in only in front may need an apron or fix old one ,really nice truck solid may get Z20 bottom end or NA sr . Starting to like 311 1970 Roadster driver, maybe a keeper , really nice underneath and a lot redone already, has 5spd and header , install lowered springs on Roadster and spindle + bushings needs tie rod and ball joint booties next then will be kind of ready for roadtrip . The bad is my knee is blown out a little ,with bad back also , doc said take easy for awhile ,I am only doing Bodywork / restoration , no more mech. work or swaps ,will finish 610 and try and get paid .
