Alright Datsun fans. What I have here is a 78 B210, 4 cylinder, 4 speed. I bought it for my son, was to be a "father / son" restoration / learn to work on cars project. He left for college and now doesn't want it. Before he left, we did get it running. Then we started to tear it apart. and that's where it stopped. A new clutch master cylinder was installed. Metal line between there and the slave will need to be repaired. (new flare at master side) Gas tank was pulled and cleaned. The new weber carb will come with the car. The seats are in my garage, and are in pretty decent condition. Carpet was pulled and thrown away. Bumpers are gone, rear was cut off. All the lights, and grill are in my garage as well. The hood was cut by previous owner, and a piece of sheet metal was taped in. Don't ask, that's how I got it. Has 4 brand new tires. Not even a mile on them yet. And as you can see a super custom paint job! I'm located in Sanger Texas, about 40 minutes North of Fort Worth. I'm asking $1000 or best REASONABLE offer. It will need to be towed, no I can't deliver, but I can help load.

  2. Thanks datzenmike. I look and post there there.
  3. Not sure if this is the right spot to put this, but my son and I are looking for a stock air cleaner assembly for his 78 B210. He would much rather have the weber set up, but his funds don't match the price of the weber. This is his first car, and he loves working on it. he is just about to learn how to rebuild the carb, and we need this to put all the vacuum lines and hoses on so he can drive it soon. Thanks for your help.
  4. Wow, that is by far the best answer to any question I have ever put on any forum ever! You freakin rock! Both of your engine bays are just how I want our Datsun to look. If you didn't live all the way out in Washington I would most definitely buy you a beer. I'm still going to have him rebuild the old carburetor, he needs to learn how anyways, but from what I have seen and read, the weber conversion is the way to go. Thank you very much for you time and your help.
  5. My son and I are going to rebuild the carburetor in his 78 210. I was wondering what, if any, of the hoses, and/or piping can we remove and still run the engine and drive it. I would like to clean it up a little. get rid of any excess that is not needed. I don't have to worry about emissions where we live. The carb was already removed when we got the car so I have no idea how its all supposed to go back together yet. So the more I can remove, the less I have to figure out where it goes.

    B210 Rollcall

Greetings from North Texas. New to the site, and hoping I can get some good info off of here. My son and I and going to fix up / restore a 78 210 that we got for $200. This will be his first car. I don't know who's more excited me or him! The car looks scary on the outside, but other than the spare tire area, the hood (some punk kid put a hood scoop on it), and the deck lid, it appears to be pretty solid. There's a long list of "fun" we will have to do to get it ready to drive.
