That tee is bubble flare .... what type of flare did you do? Are the new lines using a bubble flare or inverted flare? I don't know how much that matters or not or if they can be interchanged or not...

It would probably be better to use the 720 transmission mount if your gonna fab that bracket.... those u shaped rubber mounts are hard to find if at all.... You can still get the 720 mount new, and it's what they list on parts websites for the 521, which is clearly wrong....

Is this a general question or specific?
  5. Oh and those directions are for my specific truck.... they have a list of many vehicles this product works on, and not just chevy... the module gets configured to you vehicle and directions for that specific car.... but basically the same process.... 6. When I got done with the learn procedure the truck started right up.... I do recommend watching the voltage during the learn procedure, the ignition will be on for about 30 minutes... I had a charger and jumper pack keeping the voltage up other wise you have to redo the whole process from the beginning... Also I have a remote start on my truck which originally had a key bypass installed.... I had removed the bypass incase it caused a problem.... with the new delete system I am able to use my remote start without the key bypass... This product truly deletes the passlock system .... well worth the money, and customer support is great .... Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem...
  7. These are the directions for installation.. They set the switches but it's good to verify... The red white connection wasnt clear.. found this info...
  8. So I own a 99 Chevy Silverado with passlock, which is their ignition immobilizer system..... Have you ever had the problem when you try to start your Chevy and it starts and dies.... then 10 minutes later it will start.... that is the passlock system slowly dieing..... This started happening to me more and more till finally about 2 weeks ago my truck finally wouldnt start.... Knowing is was the passlock system I looked for a way to shut off or delete the system.... and this is what I found... NEWROCKIES Inc. Passlock Bypass disables the ENTIRE system. https://newrockies.com/passlock-bypass-2/ This works for early passkey, passlock 1 and 2. . I don't think it works for passlock 3 because that's a transponder system... Anyhow, this is a true delete unlike the passlock bypass module you would purchase to install a remote start system, that only replicates the key...

To add to this.... I don't know remember who I got this idea from but I believe it was someone in the 510 section.. you'll notice the kit is for a v8.. I figure extra wires cant be a bad idea.. it was $6 more than the 4 cylinder kit, and it also gives you the crimping tool.

I cant believe it my pos Chevy lives.... To anyone who has their passlock system failing this newrockies module is the cure.... my truck hasn't started in 2 weeks..... I got a bad module or I fucked it up, but either way this new one worked.... I even removed the bypass associated with my remote start and I can still use my remote start..... I'll post a more detailed write up in the non datsun area for anyone who can use the info..... Just in time, rain coming next week, and now I can give the datsun a break till the new coil and wires show up....

And apparently this is not the red coil distributorguy was talking about... this is a newer Brazil made coil..... So that will be going back.... just purchased this.. nice old stock german made

    Ignition coil mounting?

Well I said fuck it, not even gonna mess around with the Brazil coil, gonna return that one... i went ahead bought the red German made coil... some reviews I found confirmed what distributorguy was saying about the German one, and that the quality from Brazil was questionable.... Thanks for the help...
  13. Crashtd420

    Ignition coil mounting?

Just found this... If your looking for those real red coils... Now the debate, do I buy this one or just keep the one I bought? I know you like the old German ones and the new style is still a bosch red coil but now made in Brazil.... Kind of wish I wasnt so quick to buy things sometimes....
  14. Crashtd420

    Ignition coil mounting?

I see what you mean with the all red canister... the one I bought says it's a red coil and was made in Brazil like the blue ones.... Should still be better than accel or pertronix.... And I did get non resistor plugs, and a low ohm wire set coming.... My wires were all around 7000 ohms..

And then the drive home yesterday, still had a miss fire..... Then some b6es spark plugs showed up late last night,( wasnt quick enough to change the order)..... so I said fuck it and put them in.... I did gap them to .038 for now... I guess +/- .008 is acceptable.... I did get 2 boxes so now the plan is to keep the other box and order a box of the wide gap plugs... once I get this miss fire figured out I wanna get to a tuning shop and have them dial in my carb and timing curve.... I think they like to use fresh plugs so I'll have a choice.. So with the new coil and now the low ohm cables on the way I hope things start behaving better....
