So the 510 I recently bought is gone now. I sold it for some cash and a KA24 single cam with a 5 speed and the harness and computer. It will soon be going in the 521. Any advice is welcomed. It apparently was in a 510 wagon. The mounts are still in the KA..... not sure if they will work? Either way I have a few more parts to acquire before I'm ready to put it in. Brake upgrades and maybe some wheels. And definitely lower it once the swap is done. Hope everyone who's at Canby is having a great time!
  4. I love your yard! Thanks for giving me the tour yesterday. I'll be in touch for the struts
  5. Picked it up for $500 Put in a new master cylinder last night. It runs but the brakes are what's holding it up being on the road

I went to the 510keepers house today. He lives 30 minutes away. Looked at his coil over set ups he sells and some wheels. The plan is to lower it, wheels and like you said just buff it out. It's original automatic but has been swapped with a 4 speed, a Weber and a U67 head. I scored at $500. Going through the brakes, needs shocks and tires and then it'll be on the road. Thanks Bonzai
  9. You might have to click to see pics Just picked up the 510 and got it running. Needs brakes but pretty solid for $500

Fuse block had some corrosion on the terminals and the wire going to the coil from the fuses was very brittle. Coil wire wasn't the problem but could lead to another issue so I put in a new wire

It just needed a good cleaning in the terminals back on the road now.

I'm bringing out my test light my multi meter some extra wire and I will grab some electrical cleaner and see if that does the trick. It was too dark last night to try to clean it so I'll get it figured out tonight hopefully
  17. Kdot this site has and will always have our juvenile responses. People here want to help but often poke jabs and such. Don't take anything personal as most of us are goons here. You will get good responses with help as this is the most valuable site I've found to aid in help/troubleshooting problems. Check out anything danielc says. He is very helpful asset here

My truck left me stranded for the first time last night. It seems to be getting no power to anything I can't turn on the headlights the car won't start not even so much as a click from the ignition. I know there is got to be a loose connection somewhere in the harness. Everything looks to be connected and nothing has been changed since it was driving fine. I'm thinking the culprit is somewhere within the fuse box? It might be time to upgrade to a more modern fuse box. I remember reading on flat cats thread about the blue sea systems fuse box and might go that route. But first I need to get m

The comment you made about drilling out the alternator........ bracket to alternator is still tight. Bracket to engine came loose.

I have the stamped steel bracket. Going to pick up some bolts in a few. I probably have some on the other two motors in my garage but need locktite anyways so I'll pick up some bolts too.

How's it been guys. Haven't been on here in a while, so I come bearing questions? What size are the bolts that mount the alternator bracket on. Coming home from work last night I must've vibrated the bolts loose I am Magine I lost one previously and the second one finally fell out last night. And going to pick up some bolts today on my lunch break in some medium thread locker

Love the plate frame. Do it in a Datsun, not much room but I'll see if my lady is down. Luckily I don't have a passenger window so at least limbs can stick out making more room
