When you see how large pieces of heavy steel behave like.... rubber, it's mind boggling that a structure as big as an aircraft carrier can be built. And I'm a 72 year old retired structural engineer. It's like religion, you have to believe the calculations! They allow you to do things... unimaginable! -
Man, I NEEDED that! I totally forgot about her! If she composed and arranged this, she is at the highest level of music creativity/genius. (have to post on my Facebook page - Primus and Prokofiev make a little space.)

RE: The Destruction of America The Big Problem was that when this country was founded, Christianity was everywhere. People had Christian values. And so Free Speech among religious Christians made sense - especially when a lot came here to escape religion persecution. Religion, eh? But now The Young are running wild since they are not religious - their undeveloped brains are gullible, delusional, ignorant, naive, etc., and exhibit Dunning Kruger, etc. which are seduced by the internet which corrupts the real world they experience directly. Societal structure is being destroyed by chaos, groups of people that incompatible creeds, honors, ethics, etc. - no longer Christianity in common. Dare to imagine what the world will be like when in <100 years, Christianity will be dead and in <200 years, Islam will be dead. EDIT: I recently put 1 + 1 together: If you look at religions on the planet, the older ones convert into the newer ones. Christianity spread all over. But the newest religion is Islam which start around 500 AD. Islam has spread all over - changing some Christian states into Islam. And then Muhammad said he is the last prophet which I thought was rather arrogant. So what But wait: Islam is going to be the last religion - can you imagine a new religion sweeping over the earth after the internet has transformed reality? ...what was it that Mu said???? He was going to be the last prophet??? Holly Shit, I'll bet he is right. Did this guy foresee the end of religion and saw how to be the Last Man Standing?

Nobel prize is even a bigger joke run by political maggots. Cofe Annon got it and was responsible for letting the genocide run wild in Rwanda. Annon should have been impeached with dishoron - (if I was King, he would have been hanged.) AND Canadian General Romeo Delair, commander of the NATA forces in R mutinied when Annon order withdrawal and did not abandon the Rwanda people. His men guarded and protected people from the roving militias with no bullets in their guns. If a man ever deserved to get a Nobel Peace Prize, it was Delair.

DCH340 Fast Idle Adjustment FSM Procedure Clarification

Is there a fine hair clock spring on the fast idle cam? If there is, it isn't a thermal spring. The only bimetal (thermal) spring is in the black electric choke housing. -
DCH340 Fast Idle Adjustment FSM Procedure Clarification
Cardinal Grammeter replied to Cardinal Grammeter's topic in Engine
There isn't a Fast Idle Spring. The electric choke black plastic cover has a bi-metal spring in it that deforms as it heats up. As the spring moves, it opens the choke. As the choke opens a link moves the fast idle cam that has steps in it. The fast idle adjusting screw is on touches those steps and holds the throttle plate at a higher opening until the choke opens fully, the fast idle screw comes off the cam, and the throttle plate goes to the opening set by the idle screw. This is very basic, universal operation. The issue is the timing: as the choke opens, the idle is reduced. If the choke opens too quickly, the fast idle will drop too quickly. If this happens you wind the choke spring tighter but this could result in too much choke. OR you could turn up the fast idle screw to deal with the choke opening too soon. It's a PITA since the fast idle screw is very hard to get to. -
That's funny. Definitely wanted to see what they did with Biden. What? I looked at all GZero posts... and they begin with Trump. No Biden. Seriously, Biden is a cornucopia of comic treasure. No Raegan either. ...meh

The problem is Biology vs Society. Without Society, there is anarchy and everyone loses. So Society, i.e. social order must be maintained. Unfortunately, the amount of indoctrination and development required of a future member of society exceeds the age of biological reproduction. If the young reproduced naturally, it would bring down society. So reproductive rules and taboos were necessary to preserve society. The Romans were very advanced, they would arrange marriages before kids reached puberty. This did not put biological in conflict with social order. The Roman father could put his children to death too if I remember correctly. The problem I see society is failing physically and mentally: "Post Malone" body mutilation and radical ideologies are festering due to societal error correction failures.

LOL, "...no exceptions..." They can try a child as an adult when it comes to violent crime but never when consensual sex is involved. If as young as 15 years old has been admitted to MIT and a 17 year old w/parental consent can enlist in the military, they are mature enough for adult sex. But the only time a child can be treated as an adult is when the government wants to punish/harm them. On the other hand, the government could claim they are indeed adults and thus can be prosecuted for violating statutory sex laws instead of being a victim. That would make more sense. You can be asked to give you life for your country in the military and you cannot vote. Slavery? Was it actually abolished?

I'd like to know the rationale for not allowing tags to be transferred. The Answer?: In my neighborhood, I'll be >10% of the people would buy licenses to be able to give their tags to hunters. There are probably 10-100x more people that want deer gone than hunters. If people could transfer tags, the # of tags might go up in multiples. You've seen those Stepford cities where they high mercenary deer killers rather than allow people to hunt. I'm 72, I don't belong in this world....
-
Let me rant about deer. We are overrun in SW PA. and we have Zombie Deer wasting disease. You'd think the game commission would extend deer season. What bugs me is when you get a license, you get a tag for the deer you are allowed to take. And if I get my license, let's say I'm disabled and would like my deer meat, it is illegal for me to give my tag to another hunter to get my deer. The Game Commission ls a totalitarian organization that does what they want. Their behavior is inexplicable and given the corruption in state government, specifically the state insurance commissioner, I wonder how corruption works in the Game Commission. Corruption: PA has the legal ability to pass a law eliminating vehicle emissions inspection in 6 more counties. The voters want this. The bill is sitting on someone's desk. Why would anyone not pass this? Turns out the vehicle emissions and safety inspections were farmed out to a 3rd party. I absolutely believe there are kickbacks (you should hear the stories from a friend who worked for the SBA - giving someone a loan with payment of 2 sacks of grass seed) and reducing the number of emissions inspections would hurt the profits of the 3rd party contractor. Do that math...

I could be totally wrong, but this sounds like the simplistic arguments given by both sides. I suspected it was AI so I checked with Snopes - (https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/ronald-reagan-demagogues-trade-war/) Raegan is wearing different clothes but the format is rather informal - how many times did he read from sheets of paper? but the claim in the Snopes link is that this was a radio address which begs the question: why was it being filmed? For what it's worth, here is the link in the Snopes reference. It is far more balanced, historic and comprehensive.

RE: Fascism & Rule of Law: I get so pissed when government officials exalt the Rule of Law like it's the ultimate. RoL includes Fascism. What they don't mention is that our legal system used to be "Justice" based but changed over to "Rule of Law." Justice is incompatible with Fascism. So I guess the first step is to switch over to RoL. I don't remember the specifics, but it was many decades ago and I think the case involved a railroad. I've tried occasionally over the years to find what actually happened but haven't succeeded yet.

It amazes me how a sports drink company can bring to the table the talent to dominate motorsports. EDIT: I guess they were clever enough to make an empire off an energy drink. -
I'm still waiting for people to call attention to all the countries that have no or very low tariffs on goods imported from the US. Why are they quite? A) if those tariffs are high, it's anti-Trump politics or B) if those fariffs are low, they would crucify Trump with the facts Assuming the media would crucify Trump at every opportunity, the only conclusion is other countries have high tariffs on goods imported from US. If that is true, I say screw them with like tariffs OR negotiate and get them to lower their tariffs. In its benign form, a tariff is only as onerous as a Sales Tax. (Makes me wonder if a country imports, do they have to pay sales tax to the state of origin?)
-
TARIFFS: The real question which no one talks about is what are other country's tariffs on our exports. No one is talking about Trump's Chart showing the 90% tariff Vietnam has on our goods - only the 46% he just imposed on them.
