  3. selling the house, hating the job, staring at the datsun- at least something makes me smile.

  4. Made a deal on a series 1 240Z, from the original owner...hybrid coversion 5.7/4 spd

  5. almost got all the parts for my liquid to liquid oil cooler, looks pretty sweet.

  6. 31 days of unemployment and counting...started fitting coolant hoses for the oil cooler

  7. got laid off, been a week now. if it gets crappy, might have to sell the racecar.

  8. new year and new challenges.

  9. putting together a 500ci big block, hoping to bring the 710 home in the next couple days!!

  10. just when i thought i was going racing this weekend, i put the head on teh motor to degree the cam in and the piston crown hits the chamber - ugh.

      the bearing clearances were bad - 2 were ok, but the thrust and #4 were close to .005". i thought "ok, bearings are worn" i put in new ones. now the crank turns nice for 3/4 of a revolution, then binds up. i also only have .001" of thrust, so the crank was bent and its getting straightened right now!

  12. did you put them on the inside the tower? that might move it up. they're supposed to go on the outside. Yeah, they're ugly but they work! been on the car for many years and the alignment doesn't move. i scribe lines for each degree of camber for quick alignment.
