So got part of the door skin replaced and any rust that was under the old skin.[Only what was needed] Brought it home to mock back on the truck for fitment which was good and then it will get a quick bodywork job, paint and installed back on the truck for JCCS. Loving it. That was the worst thing on this truck body wise.
So like justjoel myself now and another guy are mounting are battery's under the seat, does the 4 door have that same option on the passenger side. If so get with justjoel and he can make you one or make it yourself. These guys can't afford odyssey battery's. And yes you can mount that fucker upside down and all around. That is a damm good battery, I have one myself and will change mines as needed in my other 4 cars.check out justjoel's build thread and you can see the boxes he maid there very nice I know I have one.
Also I was thinking fuck the heater 86 it I don't use it anyway, and that right there will look better I think with the center console, also get rid of the wood grain and wrap it with some kind of leather, I thought about carbon fiber but I hate that look..thoughts
Getting passenger door done up now, I will mount for test fit, and then pull off he will finish the welds and then give a quick paint job.
Took the velocity stacks off to get polished out that will make the engine bay look way better also.
That is a very good point right there. they all need to be painted but if rust in bad spots and missing harder to find parts then pass, or if your a junk collector then get for real cheap and part out
Very nice job on the car. Did you ever put the shroud if so can you get a picture for me. I was thinking of doing the Koyo but I had my stock shroud powder coated and would like to see the black on polished aluminum. And your car is looking just awesome far far away from a Ratsun thats for sure.
Now I have one full NOS set and the originals on my truck the plastic was in bad shape when it came to the sockets so now they will be brand new again.
