  4. Sign me up. I just registered and need one pair. $140 is not going to break me either way. Next step is getting the glass out of the chromed 'J' shaped mounting channel and having it refurbished.
  5. Jefe des Jefes.... I sold that green 222 two months ago with the '59 210 minus the front end. Getting the VPL 220 running.
  6. Funny as it sounds... Nash Metropolitan front mounts are the same. I have a Datsun 320 mount for one of my Metro's MM. Early MGA MGB mounts also may work.
  7. This is my 1960 221 panel van, not a 320 but it is different. Link: http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/2009/12/07/kidney-anyone-1960-datsun-1200-van-vpl221/
  8. Not a Costco or Home Depot cart.... a Safeway or Raley's cart.
  9. What would you be interested in for trade? I may be interested in the cab and doors, price?
  10. OK, I just picked up a 1959 210 (Fresno C/L) body and frame for parts for my VPL220. I now have the parts needed to put together (and VIN plate) to put a four door 220 together. I will have enough parts to cobble this together. http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/2009/12/07/kidney-anyone-1960-datsun-1200-van-vpl221/ I have done nothing to the VPL220 yet, that is going to be my stock restoration project. The four door truck will be my son's (he is 3 now, so I have a little time). Any suggestions? I will have some limited extra parts in the build, no extra windshields. I'm thinking the bed will be about 3/4 length of the stock 220 truck bed. I'm thinking no chrome, all white trim with green body... kind of like this... http://www.earlydatsun.com/datsun220.html I'm no good with Paint. I can put up pictures later in the week. Curtis.
  11. OK.... who is RUNNING a J-13 or J-15 head on a 1800cc MGB engine. I have a 1972 MGB 5 main engine, and an early J-13 engine. Looking to put the mess into a 320 truck. I have a 1800 MGB engine with BW 35 automatice in my mom's Nash Metropolitan. I would be great to get the extra hp with the 1800 and the stock look with the Datto head. The J-13 is supposed to flow better. Thanks.
  12. 1964 320 runs for $1K in the Sacto area. Nice condition, a little rot in front fenders. Stock E-1 engine, trans fork needs welding (I'm guessing column shift issues). http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/3647518784.html Good luck, they go quick this time of year in NorCal. :0)
  13. Oh.... I mean the SD family shares internals and components just as the L engine family does. Not that the SD and L families are related... "Ya gotta keep 'em separated..."
  14. Availability of parts.... I had a neighbor that owned a IH Scout with a I6 diesel.... with Nissan connections: 1976 was the first year for a diesel powered vehicle to be available in the US, it was in the Scout II! IH used the Nissan SD-33 diesel engine for fuel economy. In 1980 IH SD-33 was replaced with the SD-33T (Turbocharged) diesel engine. These Diesel Scouts were great for economy, getting 20 mpg in the city and up to 30 mpg on the highway Seems that the SD 33 is an SD 22 with two more cylinders. I don't know production numbers, but I think it is a similar family engine as L18 and L24. Curtis.
