Electro plating solutions in Hayward CA. Awesome group of people. There is a minimum charge of I think $130 then you pay California environmental fees and some other disposal stuff. I want to say $150-170 and I'm not sure of the batch size. It's best to gather up a TON of stuff and do it all at once. I want to say I filled up a 5 gallon bucket over half way. I've been back so many times because I forgot stuff that they have helped me out. They also do powder coating and are next door to some chrome plate shop. It's a cool place

Before I put the carbs on I picked up some more hardware from the platers. I installed my horns and will be installing the wiper motor tonight. Still a few things left to do but nearing the end.......for now 😁 Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr

So I received this picture over the weekend and on Monday I got my carbs back! Last night I installed them and drove the car again. My friend Peter came over and helped me get them tuned a bit. Josel will be over next week to tune them but I cannot believe the difference my car has. Before it pulled hard but felt kind of sluggish. Last night's drive the car really wanted to go and it felt like night and day. It has been a while but to me this motor feels faster than my 200hp L series I had in my white car years ago. I am beyond happy with how the carbs turned out and even more happy I can drive it again. I will be taking the car to the Datsick show this Sunday in San Jose and hope to see some of you there. 😍😍😍😍😍😍 Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr

Long story lol.....ask me at JCCS. Jk made by Karo in Japan, custom made for "KGC10-WORKS" sold through Victory 50 designed for a Hakosuka.....they don't fit well but I wanted to see if I liked the color with my cactus green car......obviously it's awesome as you are the poster child for watermelon Datsuns 😂😂😂 anyways I found them on Victory 50 and used a proxy server to order them which then had to go up through the other two companies and get them made. They were designed and offered back in 2012 which I found in 2015 and ordered and waited. Basically I LOVED them when I was researching how to do my skyline so I had to get some. Have had them for 2-3 years and decided to finally use them for a bit. crazy expensive but super sexy and I wish they had a 510 pattern. Again check it out at jccs and you will see they don't fit well....

Did a few things this weekend. Finally finished a piece of the interior I was dreading.....the rear wheel covers. Like a multitude of other parts of the car I did things backwards....once the rear wheel arch covers were finished I would have to remove the side panels, the rear seat, the rear seat brackets, and the gas tank cover plate I made. These pieces fit very tightly together and it required me to jack up the car to access the nuts for the rear seat brackets. Needless to say it was a LOT of work just to do a little work lol. I am EXTREMELY pleased how my rear seat turned out after repair since I can't afford to recover the interior at this time. In addition to installing the rear wheel arch covers I installed the front kick panels as well as installed my bluetooth amp along with the shelf speakers. On Sunday I made a run up to Dastunville to get a couple other missing little pieces as well as grab some stuff for a friend. On my previous car I wrapped everything in the trunk in carpet. This time around I am not sure that is the route I will take so I figured I wanted the gas tank cover to be black and while at Home Depot I saw they sold MDF half sheets that are used for chalk boards and one side was already black so I thought I would try it out. VERY HAPPY with how it looks EXCEPT that I had a brain fart and while cutting a section out on the right side I cut too much wood creating a mounting issue where I had to add an aluminum tab to be able to mount it. Will eventually get another sheet and do it again as now that I have this one it will be easy to trace and cut. The cool thing was that I had some photos of my white car and was able to cut it to match the factory panel pretty closely even though it was done free hand. Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr One other thing that bothered me about the trunk was the gas evaporator tank by the hinges had that ugly bedliner texture to it. That rubber coating completely covered everything in the BRE car including rust and it sticks out like a sore thumb. Thankfully one of the shells I purchased had a pretty nice one in it so I removed it and took it to my friends and used his media blaster to remove the factory paint. It has a crease in it but is MUCH better than the one I will be taking out. I painted it in flat black and also painted my wiper motor and horns in semi-gloss. In the future I will likely do the integra wiper motor conversion but for now just trying to have a place for the harness to go 😂 Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr

On Friday and Saturday I had take care of the kids while my wife was out of town so naturally I picked up a Costco Pizza on Friday and had movie night. The box came in handy the next day when I decided to make the spare tire cover 😁. Before that could happen we ran errands in the AM, picked up wood and dropped off my rear seat back as well as the factory rear wheel tub covers to get remade/repaired. Interior should be finished very soon. Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr I did the same thing I did on my white 510 years ago. I like to add a brace to the bottom of the panel so that heavy objects carried in the trunk won't deform it. I still need to pick up another aluminum L brace but happy with how it turned out: Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr
