I am in the same boat with swapping my cables also… want to use my original knob but the cable is built into the shaft and looks impossible to put a new one in…

I am needing the threaded part connecting to the firewall that the throttle cable threads into… doing a Weber carb on my 520 and the cable I am using is from a 620 and different thread pitch than what my truck has.. anyone have a parts truck I can get one from would be greatly appreciated!

yeah finding another 520 4 speed might be difficult, if anybody finds any links to one let me know......much appreciated.

yeah i just dont know if i want to invest the money in the stock motor and trans if i intend on swapping the motor out later on, what kind of swaps are easier to do on the year of truck, i have big plans for it, just need some direction.

started to get some vibrations in my driveshaft, turns out the transmission is torn up on the housing around the spline where the driveshaft connects in, anybody know where i can find a transmission, or any suggestions as to what i should do, i want to keep this truck running as it is in great shape and is a fun little truck, thanks....

what kind of wheels are you guys running and where is a good place to get six lug wheels, like the looks of the 15x8's.....thanks

yeah we had the jack stands under the rear axle so i don't think it could be a tire issue, It sounds like I will be pulling the driveshaft and replacing u-joints and getting that sucker balanced.....thanks for the help again.

the driveshaft has a little bit of play in it when you wrap your hand around it and turn it...is this normal, we tried it on my buddies fairlane and it was not moving at all....thanks for the help.

yeah its really strange, we put it up on jack stands to see underneath it, the driveshaft looked like it was shaking pretty bad @ 30mph.......

Just picked up a 67' Datsun 520 pickup here in Grand Junction,CO. It was purchased here in 67' at Market Motors and came with the complete service history and manuals from the dealer, its in great shape and was restored a while back. Anyways, I am getting a rough vibration from the driveshaft at 30-40mph. Been trying to diagnose the problem, it is a one piece driveshaft, can anyone please give up their two cents........
