  1. Moses, do you happen to have the exact part number in your records anywhere? That would definitely help me out and I'm sure would be useful for others. Thanks!

    They sell on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1961-EARLY-1965-DATSUN-TRUCK-L320-FIREWALL-INSULATION-PAD-61-62-63-64-65/174132000201?hash=item288b1375c9:g:tOAAAOSwrcRdv3vK

Here's another question. My truck has a hole in the cab floor at the very front corner on the passenger side. It's in the floor right up against the firewall in the corner with the side of the footwell. It's probably ~1/2" in diameter and was plugged with a small rubber bung. Does anyone else have this? Perhaps the PO drilled a drainage hole there?

The early and late roadsters have different heater boots than the 320.

Thanks. Keep us posted on how the kit works out. I saw he also has door panels and repro sun visors for the 320 but I didn't see the footwell pieces. I will look again or maybe they just aren't listed on ebay at this moment. Those seem pretty simple and to my eye would be the easiest to do myself--the firewall pieces are pretty complex.

Also, can anyone verify whether this defroster hose reproduced by Datsunparts.com for an early roadster may work on the 320 heater box? https://www.datsunparts.com/1404

    Interior Questions

Has anyone bought and installed this firewall kit: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1961-EARLY-1965-DATSUN-TRUCK-L320-FIREWALL-INSULATION-PAD-61-62-63-64-65/174132000201?hash=item288b1375c9:g:tOAAAOSwrcRdv3vK ? Looks like I would have to remove my heater to install that middle part. Compared to trying to reproduce those pieces that price looks reasonable. Also, what have people done to replace the panels that go into the fender footwells--on the right and left, not the firewall? I mean these pieces:

Great. And what are the steps to remove the dashboard? Windshield is still in place but I will pull the seat first. Thanks.

Hi All. In order to remove the bench seat in my 1964 L320 is it just four bolts (two each side)? Thanks!

Agree, the surface with the holes needs to be thicker. Moses is aware of that. Here is are a couple of pics including a cross-section of the model--I think you'll find that the way "bellows" you describe is in fact how the part was 3D-rendered--assuming I'm understanding your feedback.

Were you able to 3D print the lip that locks into the sheet metal on the firewall?
  13. Good discussion here. I can post pics of the 3D print of my rendering soon. My original part had the base intact but the top portion was nearly gone. I sent my rubber original to someone who did the 3D rendering using it and some pictures of original parts that were more complete as well as dimensions from my truck. I have actually made a mold and reproduced these unsuccessfully--walls of the part were too thin in places. But the base of those repros definitely fits my truck well which gives me confidence that the base in my 3D rendering is good. Stev
  14. Some renderings of the 3D model I have:
  15. It has two holes in it; one for the steering column and one for the shift column.
  16. I have a 3D model of one as well as a rigid 3D print of that model if that helps.

    What clutch did you install?
  18. Thanks for all your work on this. I pre-ordered yesterday.
  19. Hi Mickey. I want to believe you can help us solve this long-lived problem with our beloved 320s. Thanks for the effort you have put into this already. That said, after taking a look at your website I have some concerns. There are dead links and misspelled words that don't inspire confidence. Perhaps that is because English is a second language to the author, in which case it's very understandable. Your Facebook page only seems to have been around for the last six months or so. The telephone number on your page appears to be for a cabinetmaking business located in Mississip

Moses-- I just looked through my service manual. To return to your question about the gas pedal pad: I found two pictures of the pedals in the Owners Manual from Alan Bent's Datsun 320 CD where the accelerator pedal was bare. See below. I wonder if they may have come that way originally.

Perhaps this reproduction part for a roadster would work for you: https://www.datsunparts.com/1990.

I believe 46431-04100 is the right part, still available from Nissan for around $6.

Not yet. I've been working on this off and on for over a year now. I'm on my second iteration. I had the part 3D rendered, then 3D printed in rigid plastic. I created a silicone mold from the printed blank but when I cast the parts with flexible urethane they came out with thin spots and/or missing areas (see below). So I had it 3D rendered again, with thicker walls. Then 3D printed again. My next step is to pour another mold using higher durometer silicone, which should maintain the thin walls better. Once I have the mold I can cast the parts and hopefully th
