    RL411 in Pittsburgh

Anybody looking at the RL411 on Pittsburgh Craig's List? I had a friend look it over back in 2013 when he had it forsale at $5500. It was posted this time at $6750, now reduced to $6500. I'd love to own one of these little cars, but not at that price of this one.

    RL411 prices?

the 411 is a BLUEBIRD! But I must have just clicked the wrong spot when I started this thread. Got my answers, so I'm done now. Thanks

    What's it worth?

Sorry, no photos yet. Lets hust say a red 411, reuphostered seats, no radio, straight nice chrome bumpers, no rust showing.

    What's it worth?

I'm looking at a '67 RL411 that is in good condition; new brakes, tires, radiator, head rebuilt, Z Therapy carbs. Has just a touch of rust bubbles showing in one wheel arch. Not a SSS. So what's it worth these days? Paul Ohio

    Pl411 to RL411?

I have a real RL411 R16, complete with the angled intake and short water pump. We picked it up about 14 years ago as a spare for the race team. But after reading everything above, I think I'd better just buy a RL. Besides, the PL for sale locally is at best a parts car, no title. But thanks for all the info. Now if I could just make one appear in my garage!

    Pl411 to RL411?

So if I wind up with a '66 PL411, and I already have a RL411 R16 engine, how difficult is it to swap in the 1600 engine?

    Part number 78100-12930

Thanks! That verifies it is a NOS rear fender for an early flat dash 1600.

    Part number 78100-12930

Can somebody verify what part number 78100-12930 is? I'm guessing it should be for a 1500.

    1500s, what are they worth?

The R16 was installed by the owner prior to the current owner. The 1500 had something major wrong with it and a 1600 was available so it went in. I don't know if the 1500 is rebuildable or not. But as the owner of a '69 roadster with a KA24E under the hood, original ranks well below 'fun-to-drive' for me. I would never modify an all original roadster, but then I can't afford to 'restore' one either. Thanks for the replies!

    1500s, what are they worth?

Oh yeah, the car is right here in Ohio so I can drive it home!

    1500s, what are they worth?

I recently found out about a 1964 1500 that is coming up for sale. It appears to be a nice car, but with a R16 under the hood. It runs and drives and comes with another 1500 (1965) parts car, several R16's and transmissions as well as a 1500 baseket case engine, lots of parts and some sheet metal. So what's it worth? I did find a completed ebay acution that just closed this week at $4350. Does that sound right?

    RL411 wagon in Delaware?

Thanks for the info. Any chance you know what the gear ratios are?

    RL411 wagon in Delaware?

The early Datsun wagons all seem to have a higher numeric rear end gear ratio than their sedan counter parts. Some 411 unique parts can be hard to find, but engine and transmission parts are available at most of the big roadster houses out west. For the last 15 years I've crewed for a roadster race team. The race barn has leftovers from 25+ years of aquiring parts cars. They stopped racing at the end of last year so most of the parts are avaiable. And since the race cars used 4.38 and 4.65 rear ends, there are plenty of 3.89 and 3.70s left over. And stock 4 speeds if you ever need another one. Motor mounts are very different from the roadsters. Radiators can be repaired or I can get info on where we got some 3 core aluminum radiators for the roadsters. Or you could just send the car to Ohio and I'll take care of all those issues! (:-)

    RL411 wagon in Delaware?

Pretty sure the cam is the same becuase claimed horse power is the same as the roadster. The wagon is supposed to have a 4.11 rear end. The 1600 roadster and RL411 sedan have 3.89s and the 2000 roadster has a 3.70. If you want lower rpms at freeway speeds, a swap to a 3.89 or 3.70 is possible. I could supply either one. Rumor has it that the RL411 4 speed transmission is a close ratio version of the roadster 4 speed, but I've never been able to confirm that. maybe somebody on Rastun can. the roadster 4 speed ratios are: 1st 3.382 2nd 2.013 3rd 1.312 4th 1.000 Not sure what the 411 ratios are, but if you find out, let me know.
