    Bruiser! 78 620 KC project

The whole rear end assembly is from a Mazda RX7 so I assume the brackets are stock.

    Cooper - 1969 1600SSS Bluebird Coupe

Exactly. It has crossed over the "patina" line. I was supposed to stop driving it when I got Granny - then Granny was totaled so... Hopefully this time will be a little more successful!

    O bachan - 1972 Bluebird DX 4dr granny car

I hope I don't regret this but Rich REALLY wanted the bench seat out of Granny so I let it go. It's SO PERFECT! http://datsun510.com/uploads/monthly_2018_08/large.1038932334_07062018grannybenchseat(2).JPG.85e1b28c654d84f613cb0cfa116e3aa3.JPG While puling the seats, I noticed something I didn't see before, look at the wrinkle at the base of the A-pillar. Man that Avalanche smacked us good!

After an uncharacteristically difficult transaction with Tokyo2U, I got some SSS trim for the doors. Going to look so nice!!!

    Bruiser! 78 620 KC project

Always maintenance with this one! One of the right rear running lights went out a while ago. Simple fix with a new bulb. Well now the right rear brake and turn signals went out. I started with new bulbs again but no difference. Turns out it was the turn signal switch! Fortunately I had one from the '79 and it plugged right in - except for the extra little pigtail. But now I'm safe and legal again. http://datsun510.com/uploads/monthly_2018_08/774219810_08032018bruiser(1).MOV.1e115248da6b40138aa17d06c03ee4e5.MOV

    Bruiser! 78 620 KC project

I had to park Cooper this summer so I've been driving Bruiser allot. It sucks! It crashes over the bumps so hard it feels like something is going to fall off (me or the truck or both). Jeff was bouncing up and down on the back and said I need new shocks. Why not? Everything else has been replaced - except those. So I got some KYB gas-adjusts on Rock-Auto. Started with the rears since I suspect those were the worse. Oh man what a difference! Every truck should have new shocks. : ) No time for the fronts yet but they will come soon enough.

    Rice Wagon - VG33 510 wagon project

The Rice Wagon build is still on hold, and had to give up it's spot in the garage so Corey and I could start building Greengo this summer. It's been a while since the car has been outside! Since Corey is going to steel these wheels and tires, I did a test fit with the set I was going to run on Granny. Hmm.... Looks like some fender rolling will be in order at a minimum.

    Cooper - 1969 1600SSS Bluebird Coupe

I made another half-hearted attempt at getting Trouble on the road to take to Canby but it just didn't happen so Brenda and I loaded up in Cooper and headed down. We took the Canby Ferry this year just for fun. Let me assure you - that ferry is NOT made for lowered cars! And this is what Canby looked like when we rolled in! Super glad we went - as always. But the ride home was a little rough. The weather cleared up for Sunday so that part was good but there was a huge accident just south of exit 68. Fortunately, we were watching the the reports and ducked off I-5 South of the accident, getting back on the freeway at exit 68 (Hwy 12) and avoided the whole thing, but after a mile or two I heard a big *clank-ting-BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAP* as it sounded like the exhaust blew off! We had another 100+ miles to go and let me tell you something. It was LOUD!!! I had a massive headache by the time I got home. Turns out there was a reason it sounded like an open header... Check out the end of the Y pipe Fancy cars have exhaust cut-outs like this for performance right? : ) This might be just the thing I need to finally take Cooper off the road and put it under protection until I can restore it so the body rust doesn't get any worse... I really miss driving it this summer! Such a pretty car!

    Cooper - 1969 1600SSS Bluebird Coupe

Paul and I put in an order with Futofab for parts for his '68 bluebird 4dr and crash repair parts for Cooper. It was a FutoFabulous delivery! But before I could get them home, another nice big rock chip to go with my now cracked windshield.

    Greengo - 1972 Datsun 510 4dr

It's mid July now and we just have a few more small things to remove from the shell. Funny looking hat! Finishing with the removal of the hardlines Paint Code! doors stripped as well

    Greengo - 1972 Datsun 510 4dr

Next step was to build a dolly, but found out that Jeff had one he was not using so Corey and I finished stripping the suspension, jacked up the car, and assembled the dolly underneath. Now where are we going to put all those parts?!

    Greengo - 1972 Datsun 510 4dr

Now it's time for everybody's favorite task - stripping the sound deadening off the floor. Brenda came out to help with that one. http://datsun510.com/uploads/monthly_2018_08/2034606305_07172018greengo.MOV.cfa6e212140b6ca11696619132dae51a.MOV Nice!
