  1. Let's get something straight here for purposes of this thread.... are we talking about precision race car correct geometry or Ratsun level "let's find something that will work reasonably well.... for a decent price ... and be reasonably safe at normal speeds and loads ?". For the record, personally I want RnP simply for the purpose of having room to get my KA A/C compressor in there by eliminating the existing steering box and I already have the updated Xterra u-joint collapsible column. I'm not talking about a $1600 custom setup, nor am I talking about a $50 ghetto cut and chop just to get something to turn the wheels. But to make it just a little more difficult here.... I want it power and to work with the stock KA pump. Any ideas on those limitations / requirements ?
  2. Well in my case so I can remove the steering box and make room for the KA A/C compressor.

  5. Maybe it was just the lug for a clock then... didn't seem to be serving any purpose otherwise and was convenient to ground the tach there (it just had bare wires... no harness plug). But as for OP... I would just test the switch and other cluster components according to the fsm.... but sounds like the light switch is fried anyway (?)
  6. ... great info as always from the KingRat ! When I wired up a factory tach, it had what seemed like a natural/intuitive ground connector on the cluster also ?

  10. Nice find, very original and clean looking. Also a nice bonus when you find everything already in the truck you need to put things back together.... gets you thinking like "why didn't they just do this ?"

  12. Sorry to be Debbie Downer..... but in case you don't know... the CHP and local po-po will give you a hard time about the windshield sticker.
  13. Don't know about inside, but this worked great in my yard. A neighbor's cat kept leaving an unGodly amount of poop in one place in my yard every week and it was some of the most rank stuff I have ever smelled in my life btw. I put this a few feet away from his usual spot and broke him from doing his business in my yard. Works pretty good for people that curb their dogs in your yard too. Just have to tweak the sensor range and the spray pattern just right for anything that steps off the sidewalk and not just passers by. Also have to remember not to step in front of it yourself ! I think my neighbors had a few laughs at my expense when I forgot. http://www.amazon.com/Contech-CRO101-Scarecrow-Activated-Sprinkler/dp/B000071NUS

  15. Wow, 3 gallons huh ? It does go on thick I reckon. I contemplated that option on mine but ended up going traditional. Nice job, plus the truck was looking pretty good before the plastidip. Looked like a nice base for any kind of topcoat. Just thinking if you ever peel it off.... it would be cool to get it in one big piece ( for each section ) ! ...also curious about the driveway... was it mulch before or did you just spread that out to catch the overspray ?
