  2. Like many elderly, you just want everything to stay the same. I totally get it. I was pissed when 'new formula' Coke came out. (boo) Then they had to go back to the old formula (yea!) But they couldn't call it Coke anymore and renamed it Coke Classic. (boo) Sorry, you were whining about whiny ass liberals removing a symbol of red neck-dome and a lost cause civil war from a 155 years ago??? If whiny ass liberals really cared they'd outlaw NASCAR first for not having had a real race since the early '70s when they drove real cars.

  7. or maybe it's a 210, badge says 1000. The short story. I am browsing FB marketplace for datsuns (like I need any more lol) and I see this old Datto for sale. After looking at the ad a few times I realized I knew the tow rig and the house it was parked at. I text Icehouse and said I recognized his junk in the ad, he said, "It's yours". I'm like, fuck lemme find parking. Hobo says I can stash it out back at his place. I tell Icehouse it's on. Pics.

With that, I know there are different/better ways, but I have a total of $140 in the upper control arms, that’s it. I made my own plates to weld in the uppers to match the ball joints of the 720. 9. Hi I joined the forum a couple of months ago and you guys have very kindly already imparted so much advice and guidance already which I very much appreciate. My 1971 Datsun 1600 SSS Coupe is almost here in the UK all the way from the Datsun Heritage centre in South Africa. She is due into the UK on 6th January so should be with me shortly afterwards. Once I have her I will post some photos of her arrival and progress. I have posted this to announce her impending arrival but also to test I can now host photos on here. Have a great Christmas everyone.

  10. He's not elderly ya damn know it all!! He is 50 and a Veteran that fought for this country!! The confederate flag is not the flag of the confederacy, it is the battle flag of the northern army of Virginia. I do not hate anyone and have plenty of black friends. I was born and raised and still live in Tennessee, the greatest place to live. The people here are like no other, we wave, we yield, we care for our communities. Ask any Northerner or anyone else that has chose this place to live the past 30 years. In 1997 my hometown of Maryville, TN was voted #1 place to live in America on a A&E ca

  14. I loved Powerland so much I forgot about Canby. Don't get me wrong I loved Canby so many good memories there so let's make more at Powerland. We could have people come from across the country or even from another country for just the show like we had at Canby. Jay you did awesome holding this down I just can't express the gratitude I have. If someone does do shirts and sweaters maybe some of money can be donated to the park as well I don't know just an idea.

  17. Suggestion, post some rules about being respectful of the venue while on site, specifically at night. Lots of stuff around and would hate to see some knuckleheads do something that would make us not welcome going forward. This year everyone was very respectful of the venue. Especially as the event grows. Or have a few volunteers help keep an eye on things. I know the on site staff were roaming the grounds to keep watch, but it's a big area. I guess we did have to sign a few documents when we entered the grounds.. so I dunno maybe that's good enough. I just know Canby got a pretty

  18. I really couldn’t say. I started off with an active relationship with the venue before I even brought the idea to them to consider. What’s important is that we still have a multi day event in the Pacific Northwest that is exclusively OURS.

  23. the date I reserved was chosen for a couple reasons, the first reason being 13 years the date has worked for Canby and oddly enough when god was dropping stones on us up there my wife told me it was sunny in Brooks. Second reason and the bigger reason was this venue only had this weekend available in June which at the time seem simply kismet. If there is any misunderstanding about the intent of this gathering let me clear it up by expressing my intentions. Last year I read and heard the grumblings of the venue charging more and offering less space and the struggles to get voluntee

  24. That psychological shit don't work on me dude, when I was having my heart attack I was not upset at possibly dying, I actually told them twice(calmly the first time) as I had to repeat myself since I got no reaction from them the first time when I said "if my heart quits beating for 5 minutes DNR", I got no response, so I said again quite loudly, "IF MY HEART QUITS BEATING FOR 5 MINUTES DNR, DO NOT RESUSCITATE", I got a hesitant "ok" the second time, later I was told basically that is against their religion in hospitals, but I was not coming out of that hospital with brain damage.

  25. Seattle is ruined from Liberal ideas. I hope they DEFUND the POLICE. I hope they OCCUPY the whole city then they can starve ,cut the power off(Oh I gotta PAY for electricity) Capitolism is EVIL I hope business move out. The Homeless run the city if you ever drive thru and see the offramps are full of garbage. But they vote for it and see be it. I think Trump should help defund the police anyways in those cities give them what they want and let them vandalize it If Visiting Angel Biden is going to Win everybody move their 401 k and IRA saving to CASH before election day

  29. Ray, I got a little creative with the bondo and lead, but I finally got your Coupe painted. Bring your checkbook and come pick it up. I took a few liberties with your requests, but I think the new aerodynamics will vastly improve the handling.

  31. I thought back and fourth between running a modern engine ( SR, Beams ), and I kind of still want to, but I ended up using the L20 and open chamber u67. A local shop in Calgary did the machine work on the engine. We cleaned everything up, resurfaced the head and block, bored the block to 86mm.. ran 86mm flat top ZX pistons, resized the rods for ARP fastners. Rotating assembly was balanced, new valve grind, installed ISKY springs and retainers... I will be running a Steve Bonk .535 cam I haven't reassembled yet, I am just waiting

  33. i am pleased to announce that after a hiatus, numerous deployments, and months spent at sea, and after the truck not running for years, that I finally got her fired up the other day, and that my build is back on. my immediate plans are to get it back to a reliable and street legal status, which includes but is not limited to: -changing out all the fuel hoses for new -renewing the registration -bleeding the brakes (if necessary) after that, I should be able to drive it around town (and beyond!) I have no super big plans at the moment, just need

  34. Bought this 1970 Datsun 521 out of SoCal after selling my 280Z. U may have seen it for sell. Plan on going through all systems, not doing a restoration but towards the ratsun look. Have been fixing the usual electrical issues; lights, switches, horn. First project will be the stance. More to come.
