Put a water wheel or a bulb turbine on the river to keep batteries charged for when you spend a free weekend and when you're away it will run cameras and trip lights for security. Double Bonus if you build a system big enough to sell power back and it offsets your cabin cost. That was a dream of mine and the only way I could afford land, before the popularity of my State skyrocketed land cost, now to get land in the areas I desire, it would take a BIG power plant to offset the mortgage. Which would require a BIG investment and if I had money to invest then I wouldn't need to come up with duct tape and bailing wire finance solutions. But I digress. Where do you fish Salmon in Hawaii? I have little debt, some assets, not much income, day to day I'm not sure if I'm great or about to fall.

Fuck yeah. So much of those fantasies in my youth. It's what drove me to Solar Energy. I've set up some micro hydro, and wind systems. Nothing beats hydro if the resource is abundant. This plot doesn't have the rise along the river section, and the spring is miniscule as far as flow rate. So there will be no payout in that regard. Solar is so easy for me that I know that will be my power system. And any power gains from my spring will be a ram pump to a high point. Though I expect it wont even flow enough for that to be reliable out of season. But this will be fully off grid as there is not alternative option... The previous owner actually put an outhouse over an old well that is dug. I can't imagine any amount of time, nor amnesia will allow me to use it as a water source...

I've never heard of anyone breaking even selling surplus power back into the grid. Not here anyway. The equipment is horrendously expensive and just when you get close they come up with some other excuse. BC Hydro also doesn't pay shit for your power. Yer foil hat is on too tight. Many shops refuse to do an alignment when there is lots of play in the steering system. Hopefully they got it close. But count on getting it aligned again after you replace the worn components "lots of play" is over 1" at the steering wheel rim. Up to 1" is normal for an old truck

We went to Guns and Roses and the black Crowes not long ago and those guys are my age and moved around about the same. The girl from Halestorm hopped around quite a bit but their co-act, Volbeat, although very loud ,, pretty much stood there .

A couple of posts back, I started another seat project for a 620 pickup. Got it done Monday afternoon, and I posted it up on Offerup and Facebook. It sold the next day before noon. Went to a very nice fellow here locally, and he was kind enough to send me a photo. He had some Miata seats in his truck when he got it, and wasn't happy with them, and he wanted a stock seat. I bought some Ivory color material for another project but changed my mind on it. Consequently, I ended up covering this seat with that material. I really liked it how it looks in his truck. I think it makes the interior pop. Now I'm thinking an all white interior in my '40 would be really badass . The guy is very cool, and I find it very rewarding to do these projects.

Leave him alone. This is a voluntary forum and if people are legitimately getting upset over what is posted on here they are better off for thier own good staying away. We did a full restoration on the dash pad, a molded skin (the ones you glue on) as a base, we used body filler and blended it all together to form the outer structure. we also reinforced the weak/cracking areas of the dash with g10 fiberglass board and pliogrip plastic repair 10. We also had to modify the glovebox to fit the new dimensions with the plastic skin in place, as well as build a new box out of the same g10 fiberglass board. After the "bodywork" was complete we shot the dash and console with a tinted bedliner. The carpet kit is from newark auto. those guys also were able to peice together a headliner for us from the original skin. Awesome team they have over there, very customer centric

going from Costco to the liquor store I got stuck in traffic behind this Mustang then noticed something.

Had a few IPAs when I posted. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That old camper is just pure function and mechanical simplicity from before I was born. No power steering, just one belt running waterpump and alternator. Somebody had 38,000 miles of fun with it. We tinkered with it for a couple of hours. Engine is stuck but we got carb freed up. Probable won't touch it again but it was a couple of good hours exploring it.

Added three more to the Dajiban... A dude on the Instant Grams was selling them. The pack had more... but I just wanted those three. And, to be honest, I really only wanted the "Only Vans"

I got me this for my 720 dump but haven't finished welding on the tail light protection extensions yet.. So it's still in envelope
