  1. When they start kicking around ideas like this, they have a plan. From old gov friends the discussion is revolving around tracking your meta data on your cell phone. Since most of us have gps in our cars thanks to the phone, they’ll track it that way. When we used to do certain things as contractors in 2008, we’d be required to drop all our phones in the training room. Then we’d all pile into pre 2000 cars and go do the job with short wave radio only. Now ppl have watches, phones, tablets, laptops, and cars that all automatically connect to GPS sat-nav. Thanks to the e

  2. Got the face plate rough cut to size and installed some rivnuts in the dash to screw it on... Then traced the dash shape onto it from the backside and cut the panel to match... Then when my back was turned, Tim drilled a bunch of holes in it... Fuse panel is expected to go over on the right side like so... And a test fit in the car...

  3. Just changed my oil with my unds down around my ankles. Truly liberating. Going to the exhaust shop tomorrow to see a man about 2”+ exhaust. Is it ok to run side drafts without filters? I have some K&N ones but don’t really like the look of them.

  4. Nope. Just taking a piss with his pants around his ankles without a care in the world. I don't know whether to be impressed or disturbed.

  7. Hi, I've bought one of the "original" dynolites for my 320 - these are good quality but expensive, and were one of the first of this type on the market. https://www.powerlite-units.com/about-dynalites.html Available in positive earth as required. I haven't had a chance to run mine - my 320 is still a kitset. There are now Chinese copies (lurking on Amazon etc), as for everything. My auto electrician, when asked about rebuilding my original British starter (BMC Mini MK1) vs a new low cost Chinese copy, advised on the rebuild as "it will last longer". New things that are bui

  9. I own a Datsun which is about as impossible to kill and a cockroach in a nuclear war. They are basic as shit and even an EMP couldn't stop it.... and it's off the grid. I have never owned a cell phone but I do have the use of a borrowed one. It mostly sits at home. We had one of those things you talk to and it plays music or does stuff like remind you. My wife didn't know any better and I explained how if it's voice activated and can understand simple commands then it's listening to every word spoken in the room. I kept finding it plugged in and unplugged it. Eventually it just sits in the cor

  12. The old bearing is worn so it will be smaller than a new one. Do you grind new tires down because the old ones don't have tread on them????

  13. Yikes, it has been a while. here's what has been going on since the last update. I got the shell stripped down to the metal, replaced the quarter panels, refinished the Cyclone II wheels and got the new tires mounted, 2 coats of epoxy primmer on everything and just finished laying on 2 coats of high build dark grey primer today, so far everything is looking pretty smooth but will start first thing tomorrow with guide coat and find just how smooth. Would kill for a bigger shop right about now.

  14. Listen at the rear of the carburetor while someone turns the ignition on off on off on off (but don't start it) What you should hear is a soft clicking sound. Does it??? NO there is no sound. Check for 12v on the red wire and to ground. YES there's clicking, then turn the idle speed screw in a couple of turns and start it does it keep running now??? Post a picture of the choke area. Can''t see why someone would remove the electric choke but you can buy universal manual chokes to replace it.

  15. This is out of order ....but my preferred paint guy called me and had an opening - so I jumped on it and dropped the truck off to get repainted. I'm keeping the factory cactus green color (of course). He is doing a glass out and taking the bed off paint job.

  18. I've had four so far. A metal frame .45, a metal frame 9mm, a polymer frame .40, and a polymer frame 9mm. 😁 Really would like to get another metal 9mm or polymer .40. The metal 9mm is the easiest shooting gun I've ever used. Took my CHL class with it, and breezed through the target shooting portion...

  28. in 1983 i started working in the warehouse of a janitorial company . Gary the owner joined dick barber and purchased performance datsun in san diego . we had a fleet of ragged 620's for our floor crews . we were buying the first 720's for our managers to drive . Gary was a co- sponsor with the infamous JDavid and together with John Fitzpatrick racing team raced a Porsche 935 and 956 then 962 cars to many wins and championships . i was in the right place at the right time and got to pick up the new 720's and drive them brand new !! i went to my fair share of endurance races too . i even went

  32. Follow up on the 02 sensor. I had my exhaust redone from collector flange all the way to the tailpipe. I added a bung just after the collector and installed a new sensor so it "smells" all 4 cylinders. No real change - the truck still runs rich, using my nose as the testing device. .

  35. The sway bar has no effect on bumps felt by both tires such as a speed bump across both wheels. It acts only when one wheel drops into a dip or goes up over a bump, then it applies resistance from the other wheel to try and even it out. It's main purpose is in a hard turn where the body tries to roll over onto the outside wheel and the inside wheel resists this averaging it out. It won't feel stiffer in the ride but it will sit more level on tight fast turns.

  36. datsunfreak that is kool, I would love to find one of the Redlines like you pictured for 66 520. I have not seen that type either. Maybe the one I have is an EMPI knock off. The Weber is here and is clean inside so I will put it on a Z24 and find out if it is good. It has been used but does not show any wear on the trottle shaft. It is an old brass float model which I prefer.

  39. An LSD would just be an expensive part that is doing nothing and just along for the ride on a B-210. Before a turbo I would spend the money on nice tires, exhaust, brakes and suspension upgrades that you can feel and enjoy. With a nice solid base, then begin to build some power.

  42. That's looking good, and I'll bet it feels good to have reached that stage. Here's an odd tip for you and anyone else - bar soap rubbed onto a leaking gas tank will stop the leak and lasts as long as you don't wash it off. I can speak from experience

  44. That door work is magic. That shit took forever to come in, from what I heard its because Italy was blasted with Covid and it took them forever to get their production back up to speed. Did you go with a full kit or just the display? I was thinkin about sticking the GPS unit there or where the windshield wiper motor goes, but mounted to the underside of the panel.
