  1. Found a night to do some race prep. The Ridge is only 2 weeks away! Jeff fixed the broken door latch and swapped out the main power switch (we were hoping this was the reason our car won't start occasionally) while I swapped in the new fuel pump. The "meth lab" doesn't look any prettier this year but hopefully it works. Fuel starving at PIR was NOT fun. This *may* have had something to do with the original fuel pump failure. Look how much garbage was in there. That was before we tapped it out of the filte

  2. It's CALIFORNIA! I've come to the conclusion that we are not all created equal. Some of us will become CEOs of a large business or a banker/stock broker or a politician or what ever yardstick is used to measure success. The remaining 99.99999% might as well face it they will be working for a living doing what ever there is available sliding down the success scale to.... crack head/felon/parolee/piece of shit looser addict waste of skin. So stop banging your head on the wall and figure out where you belong and go there. Don't listen to your parents, fr

  3. I had a '64 Catalina 2 door, paid $325 for it.389/automatic, the former owner called it "Myrtle the PimpWagon".It was a weird watermelon color, with a white top.It got something like 21 mpg. I miss those days that you could find nice cars like this for little money.

  5. I guess I never drove my truck this fast with the l16 and 4 speed so it was fine. But now it just seems loose at high speed which is new to me and the truck. took my son for a drive and he loved it. It really is night and day compared to the stock drivetrain. Now I need to figure out the trans tunnel cover and get a Nardi steering wheel. Need to put the hood back on as well.

  11. This is out of order ....but my preferred paint guy called me and had an opening - so I jumped on it and dropped the truck off to get repainted. I'm keeping the factory cactus green color (of course). He is doing a glass out and taking the bed off paint job.

  12. Guess it was 9/16". Anything that makes braking easier is a plus. Same with steering. At the end of the day when you're tired it makes a difference. Early Datsuns were light and didn't need it as much but there isn't a vehicle made today that doesn't have it. A booster increases line pressure by about 50%. Tires traction and brakes have improved in the last 50 years and you can brake harder. Increasing the master diameter increases the effort to get the same line pressure. No matter how strong you think you are you can't compete with a booster. Yes... why wouldn't yo

  15. Finally found some new spark plug wires for the SR20. Someone told us that Sentra wires work. They do NOT. At least one wire is too short. I found these through CX Racing. Unfortunately, they were terribly made and don't fit. The wire in the boot is in a different position on every one - and NONE are in the right position. It makes the boot stick way up past the valve cover. Here you can kind of see how they the wires are in a variety of positions. The guy at CX Racing said I can try to reposition them which I will do soon

  16. Thanks guys, nut isn't so bad but threads in too tight for my liking. The passenger side nut is worse but threads on nicely on either hub. Hubs we're clearly put together the wrong way.

  17. I didn't see Charlie's post.....yes, hosestop is a very good way to go. If you don't use him, then it might be easier to get universal pieces than to find stock stuff. This info is geared to the roadster kit, but half way down the page, you'll see examples of what I'm talking about. You can get any length of hose you want and put any type of end on either end. http://www.bluehandsinc.com/caliper-options.html

  18. Wahooo! Now the fun begins! I just threw FutoFab sways on the 620. Only one quick drive on it so far, but felt a difference there. Truck is blocked in right now... but maybe next week Ill get to truely take it for a spin! I suspect the sway are going to really make a difference. I dont really want to stiffen up the suspension much, since part of what I like about it is how soft it is compared to the 510.

  19. That would be a 13/16" up from a 7/8" or 3/4". You can't move more fluid with the same effort as the 3/4" master (conservation of energy aka you can't expect something for nothing) so get the vacuum booster with it or the pedal is not only stiffer to push but comes in higher up.

  20. The 280z strut is never used because the angle of the spindle is different. All the rest 510/610. 710, B210, 210, A10, S10 and S110 (at least these and maybe more) are all 100 angle and 2" outer diameter. I measured to the top of the threads. I would guess there are no more than 1 cm or 10mm of gland nut threads till tightened down.

  22. The press would have made shit up, DID make shit up!!!! hell they lied by omission and cherry picked. You can say anything you want if you first say: "Sources close to the president report....." Sources cannot be examined and in the rare instance it was bullshit it's too late, no one is answerable for the lie and they've moved on. So fuck the news and anyone who watches it is an idiot.

  25. Finally got carpet installed so I could get my heater and cig lighter put back together and wired up. Those are the last puzzle pieces--she's complete and everything works. This was my first car project and am feeling a sense of accomplishment. It's been a 6 year journey and so thankful for everyone on this forum. You've all be generous with your knowledge and spare parts and I couldn't have done it without you.

  26. Got the new MGA head gasket in, valves adjusted, switched over to a Petronix electronic distributor and she's been driving like a dream. Anyone interested in polished stainless steel 320 hubcaps? Jake Makes is doing a run for $350 a set which includes shipping within the US. Here's a few weekend pics a friend took. Shoutout to Aaron from Arizona Classic Japanese Car Club.
