  1. I am so sick of people in the PNW. Today I was sent on an errand to drop off my sons cleats for his viral paranoid football practice, and then to stop at the store for a few food items the wife requested. After feeling a small bit of rage bubble within myself at the sight of my son running drills with a required mask to be worn.. I set off for the store instead of becoming more angry at that sight. I arrived at the local Grocery Outlet and noticed the faint sound of Toto crackling through the store audio. I began to gather my items well aloof of other people doing the same. I grab

  2. Well after wallowing in self pity for a while I finally decided nothing else I’ve done in regards to this project was sensible broke out the tools set aside my common sense And began to rebuild my terribly rotted cab It’s still a very long way from saved but it’s heading in that direction still have to remake the entire inside Lower portion Of the windshield post and door frame area inner firewall / upper kick panel and all of where the fire wall meets the door post where the fender bolts on as well as a bunch of floor work both complete rockers and cab corners but It’s a start

  7. Got my exhaust sorted thanks to @Crashtd420 who told me to buy a flex pipe and cut it to make it work. I did but the stupid torsion bars get in the way so I had to cut it higher then I wanted to. Should work and only temporary to allow me to get it running and then take it to an exhaust shop.

  10. @BrothersGarage@mainer311 Did a column gauge pod as well, but its gauge specific. Could work with that BOSCH gauge (it mounts the same way as my sunpro but doesn't work with an autometer tach) if you can get him to make you one.

  11. I hear ya Matt. I'm rarely in town, there's just no need to be. I'm practicing self seclusion? (something) and don't even know it. My lifestyle is walking and staying home although with the returning good weather I'm even more outside in the yard or working on projects. My wife works and does all the shopping/running around and is used to the bullshit. When she gets home she de-contaminates. I don't think I could match your self control. Pretty sure a "MIND YOUR OWN FUCKING BUISNESS" would be in order if some douche were to say something to me. The sight of someone wearing a mask while drivin

  12. Watching a Spanish movie on Netflix and quickly noticed the fender mirrors. Had to rewind and pause since they only showed it for a few seconds. On close up I noticed the SSS badge! The Wife was like how in the hell did you notice that? 🙂

  13. 521 steering column 'extenders' ? To take up that bullshit space behind aftermarket steering wheel hubs? @mainer311 did a pretty slick piece that eats the gap up like this: A top steering wheel column cover that incorporates single gauge pod for a 2-5/8" gauge. like this: ( I'd use like one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Bosch-SP0F000025-Sport-Tachometer-Black/dp/B00UM9WWBE/ )

  15. Hello Everyone and Bigtanker I just received a phone call from a good friend that there are rumors that the Eagle Rock Car Show is over? Just letting you know that Eagle Rock Car Show IS NOT OVER! And also that I’m moving to Long Beach and Left Coast is taking over my event that’s false and also ridiculous. Now many people know that due to the pandemic the homeless took over the place that we had my show for over 13 years but that doesn’t mean that my event is over! I already have a new place still in Eagle Rock but we still have the pandemic! So when everything clears and I have a green light

  16. Was the petition to have the cops beat more Canadian’s? I know everything there is to know about Canada, I’ve seen like six episodes of Trailer Park boys. I might as well have a Doctorate in Canadian Cultural Studies from Evergreen State College.

  17. I respect you and all the good police who do what they do. No way I could ever deal with most of what they come across. Always was respectful when I had interactions with LEOs. Used to watch COPS a lot years ago and it amazed me how stupid people were around the police. As with Inslee? What a moron! I cast my vote for Culp.

  19. Everyone needs a job Logic. I came home from Iraq and saw my hometown overrun by terrible people. I felt I couldn’t bitch about it unless I personally stepped in to stop some of it. I did what I could and then was retired due to a series of severe injuries. I do have a large number of humorous stories, but this thread isn’t about good things. Lol. One that springs to mind was a “home invasion” call where a house sitter had been startled awake by an “intruder”. While on the phone with 911, she engaged the target. I’m not sure what type of stress tests Roomba’s were pu

  22. Well my lord and savior @thisismatt lead me to water. Turns out the screw that holds the turn signal switch onto the column pinched the black/green wire from the horn contact causing it to ground. Threw some tape over it and all is well again.

  26. We went to Vancouver Island too but stuck to the tourist areas. A ferry ride between your home and the general population isn't a bad thing. I have 4 hours of some of the worst roads in Australia between us and the coast dwellers.

  27. Sechelt can only be accessed by ferry so you would have to want to go there. Most of the deplorables stick to the inner cities. Sechelt is on the 'Sunshine Coast'

  28. We had a holiday in Canada in 2019, remember coming into from Vancouver from a different direction than we had earlier in the holiday and holy fuck it was like driving into a seen from a scifi movie, homeless for what seemed like 2klms straight, crack heads meandering around in the middle of the road and then all of a sudden... gone, like an invisible line was crossed and it was normal? Well as normal as it can seem for us rednecks from a town with 2k people in the middle of Australia. I couldn't get over how arrogant pedestrians were, would literally stand and wait for the crossin

  31. Probably will be close, but not work. Those idlers are fairly universal on PS and AIR CON equipped '80s Nissans. Wrecking yard? The 'rivets' are actually bolts that are necked down under the head. When fully tightened down the head snaps off making removal by thieves much harder.

  32. I got some new head bolts for my block. The original has a number 13 on the head and the new one has 12T. Anyone know what it means? The part num I was looking for was 11057-H5700 but got superseded by 11057- H5000 (12T on the Head).

  34. watch this and get up to speed. if you cant center the timming then the oil pump is off a tooth or so. Put motor on TDC. Its Ez open the oil cap and when the lobe you see right there is like poiting in the 9 o clock position then go to the crank pully then dial the timming mark up to zero on the timming tab or tooth what ever you have. then you can pull the cap off and look where the rotor points too and see whchi way you have to go. But its in my vid to alighn a pump spindal and install. get new gaskets and make sure the pump dont loose oil and reinstall till the dist rotor is line up on #1

  35. This is the best way I’ve found to even out those high/low spots. It’s called guide coat. https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/company-us/all-3m-products/~/3M-Dry-Guide-Coat/?N=5002385+3293223475&rt=rud When I first started I used black spray paint, but it would clog my pads. Eastwood makes an aerosol version of this but I get better results if I can just put it on and keep working. To properly use it, put it on in a circular pattern the get you 10-12” long sanding block and hand sand it in a cross hatch pattern. You really shouldn’t use a powered sander for final sanding of

  38. Looking for feedback. I've done a decent amount of parts up to this point and some have been great and others flopped. What's are hard to find datsun parts that give people value? So far the biggest suggestions I've gotten are 620 dashes 521/620 dash knobs, 620 headlight rings.
