  4. And some more photos of random neat stuff: A coupe Wagon with a super clean swap super clean - it's a beauty... not to ignore some of the other variety and talk about stuff(ed) All in all a great day and the start of a wonderful new annual meet! Next year I have got to have my wagon done!

  5. Came out with my wife, my Dad and my sister in our trucks. Absolutely loved the venue and had a blast seeing everyone's cars. There was so much more room to spread out both to show cars and to camp than at Canby, I hope we continue to have the show on the same weekend at Powerland. We will be there! Thanks Jbird for picking up the slack, it would have been devastating to lose this event.

  6. Just got home from Powerland Datsun and it was great. Thanks Jay for putting it on. Lots of nice cars, plenty of good stuff to buy. Here are a few cell phone shots. Since I am doing a VG33 swap into my wagon most of the photos are: and and wagons and a really sweet sedan Good deals on wheels from multiple sellers that somehow ended up in the back of MY wagon. 🙂 Really had a great two days. Thanks to everyone that came out and again an extra thanks to Jay.

  8. Many thanks jbirds510, you did a fantastic job putting this together----solo. I was there today, Sunday. (I missed Saturday) There were 60-70 cars, trucks, wagons, one-off's -----all well represented. Several parts vendors, numerous individuals selling parts. There was sun, shade, level lawn, plenty of room, restrooms and nice guy at the gate. For those in doubt, easily as good as Camby. Well done.

  9. Easily can say this one was my favorite place for a Datsun show not only was there plenty of room for a ton more cars and then some, but also the park has a lot to offer! Those in doubt I can say you will save a lot more money coming here and have more monies for parts to buy. First year I can say was a great success, Keizer is literally 10 miles away for good food, pilot Is just around the corner too, very convenient spot. Wanna thank Jay for stepping up for putting on a great show I will be there next year and so on! It was great seeing familiar faces and new as well a lot of cool builds of all sorts. Don't miss out next year guys Jay said next year he will have Friday-Sunday, money literally goes to the park to keep it open the more people show the more they will want us there every year.

  12. Also if you want to be even further away... there is another 10-15 acres of open land behind all the buildings in the back ground. Absolutely no lack of space. Amazing venue!

  17. Draker got a few but this one for example.. Keep in mind there is a couple spread out behind him in this picture. Most went to hotels so pretty quiet but as if you look squint real hard at this pic there is Phil's BMW parked waaaay over to the left in this picture .. There was a Orange 620 camping in a grassy area about 20-30 feet farther over than that.. The picture of Fat's A10 parked next to tractor is just to the right of this picture ,, those things made up that whole right corner (just out of pic) you could pitch a tent very close to them . Remember back about 5 years ago ( before the shrinking parking thing) new campers would ask about camping and such and old timers like Skib would simply say "Dude,, don't worry about it just get yourself there" Well that's the answer again. Probably a lot less stupid shenanigans are going to happen though, as there are a couple caretakers in golf carts that don't take no shit roaming around all night .. As for late night adulting without stupid shit ,, one visited with us at Casa el Popup ( pictured) at past 12am and was very nice to us,, just checking up on our Costco propane fire pits and such. AA++ will trade again.

  23. I looked at the Facebook event and I don't see very many photos of this Datsun show. Most photos were by other photographers of the museum. here is what I found

  24. I think he was talking about the paint under the timing cover. I’ve generally left that bare metal as well. Oil/gas and heat will all get in there when tankers trailer hits a bump.

  26. Hi Mike, hope the trek across Canada is going well! The camping is dispersed unless you have an rv and need hookups. You can camp next to your ride or venture out to quieter parts (52 acres) if you don’t want to be close to the show area or near other groups. This year most people just found who they wanted to tent near and made little villages haha l! It was great!

  29. If the rear tail lights are out also it isn't the dimmer. Both are supplied by the headlamp switch in the first position. It gets it's power from the 13th fuse from the left hand side of the fuse box. (3rd from the right) If your interior lamp is not working then this is the problem.

  30. Any drop or lift will mess with the toe. By eye line up one of the front wheels with the rear behind it. Now look at the other side if you can see it's different then it most likely needs adjusting. It's very subtle but will wear the tires away over time. If toed out it will not track down the road properly and 'hunt' for the lane. Toed in and it's dangerous in the rain and steers funny in town on turns. Most vehicles have a minute amount of toe in but barely noticeable to look at.

  34. We'll need to see pics if you want to get us interested. More info too. Search function will show many threads discussing how to add pics. I use Photobucket, but if I were signing up today, I would not recommend it.

  35. Hey all, I am having a weird problem that hopefully someone can help with. A few months ago my dash board illumination lights and rear running lights quit working. All other lights work correctly, save one dead headlight bulb. I suspect it to be the dash dimmer module, as it once cut in and out as I wiggled it. Also the shaft just seems loose like the potentiometer inside is broken. I would take it out and test it but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the knob off. Any suggestions? How get this knob off? vvvvv

  36. I leave the plug wires on the distributor cap 90% of the time when taking valve cover off and just overlap them to the passenger side leaving the m on the sparkplugs. Bam your done

  37. Thanks for the information, I just meant ride wise. I have heard of it being quite a bit less comfortable to ride with just the torsion bars cranked. My plan was to just see how it was and get drop spindles if necessary.

  38. Went to change the tranny modulator valve and wanted to check a couple things.... 1) There was about 1 cup of fluid behind the valve when I pulled it...should it be there? 2) Should there be some sort of pin/small center rod that sits in the center of the valve? I didn’t see one on the old one and wanted to be sure it wasn’t lost/gone. thanks agouge888

  42. I always use a long clear tubing. Attach to bleed nipple, first remove all old brake fluid in the line. Once flowing only clean new fluid, loop the clear tube back to the master. Pump away until no bubbles in the tube. Repeat on all 4 ends. Makes bleeding easy and only need one person.
