I am a new owner of a relatively well-running 1978 620. It is stock orange and has a primered hood and quarter panel. I would like to get it painted but live in Flagstaff, AZ. There are not many places to get good custom paint here. There are many in Phoenix but I would love to have some recommendations from everyone in this forum. Personal experience is best but if you have great second-hand experience, that works well. I am willing to put down some good money for the paint but want it to be worth it.

I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap but a complete body shell would eliminate so many hours spent dealing with rot that you'll never eliminate anyway.

The video I saw on YouTube wasn't thorough but did show the interior. Presenter stated he felt the metal was maybe a bit thin, but without knowing his point of reference (plus he didn't measure), we know that these bodies were thin sheet metal anyway. I tried to find the video but couldn't. Anyway, have a look.

Unfortunately, these locks have 4 notches on the lock cylinder but my car only has cutouts for 3. 

Am I missing something or is there specific lock set I should be looking for?

I have seen a lot of info about the Amazon Dayton Audio speakers and found that I can fit 2-2.5" speakers in the same space as the 4x6. I went about doing a bit of measuring and basic 3D modeling, and I came up with something that might work.

Pictured is a first rough draft of the concept. I have since refined the top portion and slimmed down the box. In my application, I have removed all of the HVAC equipment other than the controls. What I made definitely fits that space, but I'm working on finding someone local to confirm this fits with all of the original equipment.

Assuming all goes well, would anyone be interested in this solution? Running some rough numbers and using the current cost of those speakers along with a $25 labor/assembly fee, I think I could get the price down to about $65 +shipping. The speakers alone are $35 and you could source your own if you want. I would also be willing to "sell" the 3D model if anyone wants to print their own for "personal use".

Let me know if  there is anyone actually interested in this, or if this is just something that works for my particular build. This may also fit other applications, but I don't have any vehicles to measure against.

I remember an electrical issue i had that brought my headlights (the stronest light) not to work anymore...i remember kinda smoke coming out the ignition switch keyhole!

Could those 2 issues be related?

Which aftermarket 510 fenders fit best/those that dont require alot of work to make fit.

My 521’s tailgate and bed match paint. Bed is a ‘70 or later. Thinking original paint (it was over sprayed and I just removed the layer on top revealing this)

My hood and cab is 563 Asian blue, but the bed was swapped on, so sticker is no help.  
 

But what color is this (seems pretty common on 521’s…):

A while back, I removed the driver’s side rail from the car and got it moving with a hammer and lots of cleaner. I greased it with moly grease before reinstalling but in hindsight I should have used white lithium.

My current plans are to remove both rails and soak them for a few days in degreaser, hose off, wipe dry, ensure they’re freely moving and finish by lubricating the track and rollers with white lithium.

Open to suggestions.

I recently completed the restoration process on my car, but unfortunately, the original grille is in very poor condition. I would love to find a new one to complete the look of my restored car.

I've seen like five different schools of thought on this: 

1. Fiberglass filler and paint

2. Specialized dashboard filling products. 

3. Leave it 

4. Flock it

5. Replace/custom dashboard. 

There's definitely more cracks on mine than good dashboard material and I'm not really looking to buy a second dashboard for a 78 A10. I don't like the texture of flocking so I'm basically left with options 1-3. How much did it cost to you for your materials and how long did it take you to fix it?

Has anyone good ideas for seats? Vaguely considering dodge neon seats because I know they fit in a 620 pickup.
