Abroad, US citizens are disliked and it's scary to travel in countries with any Muslim population. And Iran fights on killing still more US military. US allies in the Middle East must be getting sick of siding openly with the US. If the military goes in Muslims from all over the world will pilgrimage to Iran to fight. Expect terrorists at home so Trump can move in and take over what's left.

Mr John Knight: trying to determine the model year for his 4 door U620 to get it registered in the UK.

https://ratsun.net/topic/86356-mr-john-knight-trying-to-determine-the-model-year-for-his-4-door-u620-to-get-it-registered-in-the-uk/?do=findComment&comment=1866058

Can you post actual pictures of your truck? I had bought a never used muffler at a yard sale for $5 and it was the same length but wider and the inlet was larger than the stock. I used a 2" TO 7/8'? reducer backwards so my smaller pipe fit the larger muffler inlet and fitted a down curving outlet and threw away the tail pipe. Nice and quiet but the sound bounces off the road and has a nice rumble now.

1972 521 Impulse Marketplace Purchase

https://ratsun.net/topic/86326-1972-521-impulse-marketplace-purchase/?do=findComment&comment=1866042

While I was taking out the heater box from the interior, I disconnected the hoses engine side.

I then started on the accelerator pedal bracket issue. Pulled interior and was surprised how dry the floor was. I was expecting rot in many places. So that is a win in my book. The bracket was barely hanging on by just the one bolt. Makes sense why the firewall was stress cracking. So now to fix this problem. What have others done in this situation? Im looking at fixing the crack portion. Then adding a reinforced piece made of 16 guage that will be welded to the firewall side. Then go back and plug weld the accelerator bracket to the inside.

Did the bracket have 2 holes for bolts ? Or was it spot welded ?

My exhaust got really loud this week, i just found out why.

https://ratsun.net/topic/86361-my-exhaust-got-really-loud-this-week-i-just-found-out-why/?do=findComment&comment=1866040

When the muffler fell off my D21 pickup, I was in the same situation of no cash so I rummaged through the bin behind the muffler shop and found a usable one from a Mustang that was still usable (probably just upgraded) and clamped that on. I carried an A1 in the army and thought it was inaccurate junk. The A2 and all the aftermarket AR's prove that if you throw enough money at anything, eventually a good product will emerge. The accuracy problems have been fixed. I have the Colt M4. I have owned it for over a decade and put less than a box of shells through it. I just took it out to make sure it works as it should and packed it away in the safe. As far as an effective defense round, those little 5.56 pellets are lacking (doubly so out of the short barrel M4's) They work in the current military because for the last few decades the military has been all about rounds downrange and delivers ammo to soldiers by the train car load. BUT, if the SHTF 5.56 ammo will be available. I also keep an SKS in the safe, that I never shoot, in case the SHTF and NATO isn't the dominant power, 7.62x39 will be abundant.
