Description

Hey guys, looking for an L16 5 bolt auto flexplate. Needs to be in decent shape with good teeth. Thanks

What year, or better yet what automatic? There were at least three automatics, two Borg/Warner used through March '71 and the JATCO from April  on. The BWs are the same part number but the JATCO (3N71B) is different. I not very sure the flex plates are inter changeable.

That is a good question. I was hoping the flexplates were all the same as long as it was a 5 bolt unit. It's not going to be used with an automatic tranny, just as a starter ring with a smaller clutch pack on a 5sp.

I have a 5 bolt flexplate & center plate, but I also don't know if it is early BW or late Jatco.  I bet it doesn't matter..........sounds like you are running a QuarterMaster 5-1/2 in clutch assembly.....??  We do the same thing on our vintage race 240Z's, but they are 6 bolt.  Happy to take some measurements etc!  PM if interested!

Ring gear for starter are all the same position and the 5 bolt to the crank. I was concerned the torque converter bolt up might be different. Different position for the holes.

Thanks for your concern, but it will be using a 5 1/2" clutch.
