Hello and thanks in advance. looking for a matchbox dizzy setup for my 71 521 w/L1600.    Or a single point dizzy. I purchased pertronix kit but realized it wont work with dual point dizzy which is what i currently have.

You could remove and have the dual points shaft turned down by a shop to fit the Pertronix. Probably cheaper than a matchbox though I would rather have one as is has a higher output. Pertronix only gets rid of the points.

 

All '79 and '80 L20B engines had the matchbox 620,720, A10 (HL510) and S10 (200sx)

 

All '78 L20B (and California from '67) had the 'remote igniter' which is an earlier model of the matchbox. The electronics is in a box mounted in the cabin but a General Motors HEI module can be substituted and easily wired in. Probably a lot cheaper as it's less known.
