Hey guys I have a 82 pickup with an sd22 and the trans went out I am looking for a replacement or maybe some info. I cannot seem to get the trans apart. I think its is called the shift fork is getting hung up and I cannot split the case apart. Any help would be very appriciated.

Any similar length (probably 31.5" long) 71B 5 speed will work if you swap the SD22 front case onto it. The rear case doesn't need to come off for this, but if you want it off, turn the shifter towards the the driver's side and give a few shakes and twist while lifting up on it.
